Referee Registration Starting Up!

Hello All, seems funny to be sending a soccer post in all this snow, but here goes!

The pre-season courses are starting to roll out. If you are interested in moving up a notch on the level of referees, please watch the ECOSA web site for upcoming courses. Some information is found below.

All referees must take a course (upgrade from Small Sided to Entry level or take the Small sided course for the first time) OR pay a registration fee if you are already are qualified for the Entry Level. The registration deadline for the registration and fee are March 31. The fee is covered by Trent Hills Soccer club and will be reimbursed if you referee on a regular basis in the 2016 season.  To pay your registration fee and register for the 2016 season, you need to log onto E2E <http://www.refcentre.com>  and use your login and password from last year. The new registration will be available on January 31.

There will be a ECOSA mandatory refresher night which is free and just goes over the basics of rules. We usually host a local meeting. It has not been arranged yet but our new Vice-President and Head Referee for Tri-County,Devon Bray, is organizing courses this year.

To take a new course you need to register for it on E2E <http://www.refcentre.com/ontario/> using your old login and password and search for courses.

Here is information about the referee coures as posted on the ECOSA.ca website:

Small Sided Game
All referees will need to take this clinic if you wish to referee 7v7 games. Minimum age requirement is 12 as of March 31st.  If you took the Small Sided Course in 2014 you do not have to take it again but you must register with the OSA to renew your certification each year.  When you take this course you will be registered with the OSA to referee 7v7 games.

Entry Level RefereeThis course is for those who would like to become a certified referee and are 14 years of age as of March 31st or older. By taking this clinic, a referee is automatically registered for the upcoming season with the OSA and does not have to register again until the following year. Individuals can search and apply to register in a clinic starting January 30th,
