Heat Policy in Plce

Trent Hills Soccer will be following a common heat policy that is used by Brighton and was adopted by Tri-County Soccer League at a July 12, 2016 meeting.  Details follow.

We also reserve the right to cancel House League (Timbits, u7, u9 at any time due to inclement weather)

The President of Tri-County will post an email to all club presidents by 3PM on hot days (around 30 degrees and up) as to the precautions to be taken during that evening's game based on the Environment Canada Peterborough Weather Station.
  • 30 - 34 degrees humidex – at least 2 water breaks per half, players bench can move to shade if available at field - pre-game agreement between coaches and referee;
  • 35- 39 humidex – (above measures plus) referees and coaches have discretion to shorten games (pre-game discussion or if you find the players are under duress)
  • 40 or over - games cancelled - home clubs will reschedule games and weekend scheduling may be a possibility
Hope this helps clear some confusion.
