July 4th & 5th Cancellations

Due to the extreme heat advisory all games will be cancelled Wednesday, July 4th and Thursday, July 5th. This includes, U7, U8, U9 and U10 both House League and Travel. Thank you for understanding and we hope that with the a cooler forecast next week, we will be able to resume all games.

2018 Registration

This year, we are continuing to use the online registration system “Power Up”, in order to reduce the amount of paperwork and to streamline the process for everyone. If you were a player with us last year, regardless of how you registered (in person or online), you have a family profile in this system. It is a very easy program to navigate and we are hoping that you will choose to register online this year. But of course we will have a couple of walk-in registrations, just in case.

You will need to login using your email address and password and follow the steps to register for this season. If you registered in person last year, simply enter the email address that you gave us and request a password reset. The system will automatically email you a new password so you can login to register. Each child in your family who played last year, is linked to you and can be found under the “Your Players” section. If when you are registering it gets to a point that team sizes are full, and you are placed on a waiting list, it does not mean that your child will not play. I have set the program to limit the registration numbers for each team, in order to monitor them accordingly. I will be regularly checking the system and adding new spots if necessary. If your child is placed on the waiting list, you do not pay until a spot for them is secured. :)


Payment
The cost for playing this year is $50 for Timbits and $80 for House League and $90 for Travel teams. You can choose to pay the following ways:

  1. By credit card at time of online registration through our secure Paypal account
  2. By choosing “Office Payment” and then either mailing us a cheque or meeting us in person at one of our two registration dates at the Aron Cinema in Campbellford (see above).

Most importantly, full payment MUST be received by March 31st in order for your child to play. There will be a $40 late fee after March 31st.  Team sizes are limited and to be fair, if payment is not received your child will be removed from the team list to make room for any players on the waiting list. If you require financial assistance, please consider applying to the JumpStart program through Canadian Tire. There is an application process, so please apply early to avoid any delays.

Volunteers & Coaches
Last year, we were so incredibly fortunate to have over 350 players in our league and 25 teams. This is awesome for our small community, but each of these teams require an adult to step up and lead them. Each year, we inevitably send out an email asking, (begging) for coaches, so if you are willing to help out please let me know at the time of registration or via email. You don’t have to have a vast knowledge of soccer or amazing skills. You simply need a positive attitude and be willing to give some time each week to guide your players through some basic drills and skill development. Those that have tried it out, have assured us that although it may seem daunting at first, it can actually be the most fun and rewarding night of your week.
You will need a valid police check (within the last 2 years) and if you have any questions about this, please ask.

Special Requests
At the time of registration there is an area where you can request for your child to play with someone who you share travel arrangements with or a close relative. Siblings registered at the same level will always be put together unless otherwise stated. As you can imagine, it is a lot of work to juggle requests, balance team numbers and build the teams as fair as possible based on age, gender etc, without knowing a lot of the players. We want your child’s soccer experience to be a positive one and will do our best to fulfill all reasonable requests. However, we are a recreational club and our intent is never to stack a team with more skilled players than any other team. On every team, all players will get equal playing time regardless of skill and because of this, we reserve the right to create the teams the best way we see fit.

*Please note: all requests MUST be made at the time of registration or no later than March 31st in writing to the THSC registrar (carlymckelvie@gmail.com). Once teams lists are finalized and players are registered with the OSA, it becomes very tedious and time consuming to move individuals around. Thank you for understanding. :)

2018 Season


The 2018 season is coming soon.  
Online registrations will begin on Thursday, Feb 15th and will close March 31st. There will be a strict $40 late fee for House League and Travel AFTER March 31st. This does not include Timbit, however those spots do fill up fast, so register early.
We will have two walk in registrations at the Aron Theatre (Thursday, Feb 15th and Wednesday, March 21st). Both will be from 630-800.
Fees this year will be $50 for Timbit, $80 for House League and $90 for Travel. These prices are almost the same as our 2016 fees. Last year cost was greatly reduced due to the Canadian Tire gift our club received.

We are hoping to keep team numbers small for more playing time for players, but to do this volunteers will be needed as game leaders/coaches.

June 6th Timbit Update

Hi Everyone. Once again we've followed the weather maps closely again today, talked back and forth and we've decided to CANCEL Timbit soccer for tonight. Our reasons are simply because it's extremely cold and damp... the fields are saturated from weeks of ongoing rain and it's not really fair to the kids to be trying to play soccer, wading through the muck. The wet fields have been causing enough issues for the older players and hopefully with the forecast of sun and warmth for the next week, things will dry up and we can get our season started. Fingers crossed the forecast for next Tuesday is HOT and SUNNY!!!!
On a side note..we planned the season for 12 weeks instead of our normal 10...so these two cancelled weeks were a BONUS. :)
